Default which prospect is better -- Murphy, Dalpe, or Etam?

Recieved a trade offer from one of the contending teams in my keeper that I am considering.

I give Tomas Fleischmann for Dustin Brown + a prospect (one of Emerson Etam, Ryan Murphy, or Zac Dalpe)

Leaning towards Murphy, although Etam is giving me about 50 reasons to choose him. Dalpe isn't too shabby either.

Also taking into account the time I will have to wait. Murphy won't make the big leagues for a couple of years, and my farm team is full. I have quite a few draft picks this year (3 1st rounders & 1 second), and my league only allows us to protect 6 prospects. Chances are I can activate 3 this summer, but it still leaves the cupboards jammed tight.

Would appreciate any and all input.

Thanks in advance.

tought choice. I would take Etem !!

you need help in fowards better tehn help at D.

and its easier to find a 40-50 pts defenseman. Etem should play with Getzlaf, Ryan, Perry next season and he can score a lot....

There is always offensive prospects at defense that will come. Next year ( 2012) is pretty good draft,

Etem would be my choice to replace Selanne. Whenever he decides to retire, Etem should take his place. Since you will likely graduate Hall and probably Strome next year, is there any way you can sweeten the pot to obtain Murphy as well?

I would agree with Etem being a nice choice but I won't agree that it's a given he makes the NHL next season. He is dominating the WHL right now but Palmieri is dominating the AHL right now. Both play the same wing and Palmieri is having a tough time sticking in the NHL when he does get called up. That said, I would bet that Etem plays a full season in the AHL although if he earns a spot he should get top 6 minutes.

You really don't need any help on D so Murphy would not be the best bang for your buck.

Dalpe is a nice option and further along than Etem.
Although with Etem scoring 51 in 50, I'd be inclined to jump on that band wagon and see where it ends up.

I would also pick Etem. And I would ask the following question:

who here thinks Etem will receive plenty of opportunity in Anaheim as a result of not only being a really good young player but because he's from Long Beach, CA (ie a local boy)?

I could be wrong but when it comes to opportunity, that may be an important factor as the Ducks may want to showcase the young guy from California.

Just a thought.

I like Dalpe quite a bit from the little I've seen of him but I'd probably go with Etem and then also go out and acquire Kyle Palmieri. Both Etem and Palmieri, one if not both should get a top six spot in the near future so that's why I'm saying both.

This is harder to do though in leagues with smaller player limits but it's a good idea...similar to how I would use Neuvirth as my backup goalie if I also had Holtby or Harding if I also had Hackett.
