Washington selects Karl Alzner with the second overall pick.

McPhee steps up to the podium and announces, \" the Washington Capitals are proud to select from the London Knights......oops....Karl Alzner?

Karl Alzner did not play with the London Knights.

Edmonton picks next at #6. Edmonton picks Sam Gagner of, you guessed it...the London Knights.

So what went from Edmonton to Washington in order for them to ensure that Washington did not pick Gagner?

Did I miss something?

I caught the slip up...and I remember McPhee talking with Lowe (but I thought it was afterwards)

Maybe it was just a future favor.
