Many solid options here. I would be tempted to drop JVR, Doan, and Tanguay and pick up a combination or Weiss, Parenteau, Whitney, or Pacioretty.

Do you have any IR spots to stash Backstrom?

If you dont have an IR, i would drop Backstrom. I doubt he'll be back before playoffs. I would definitely drop JVR, Shane Doan and Tanguary too.

Thing about Mcdonald is he can go on massive runs when healthy, i think he managed 32 in 33 games before. Kinda like Mueller. more of a high risk, high reward kinda player.

I'd love to pick up a bunch but it's $5 a trade so maybe make 1 or 2, and yes there is a IR
