To give an idea of where I am in the league, currently tied for 3rd....6 points out of first, with the following points in each category...
Goals - 3 (10 goals back from 9 points) Assists - 11 PIM's - 4 (46 PIM's back of middle of the pack) PPP - 7 (10 PPP's back of 12 points) SOG - 5 (100 SOG back of 12 points) (Having also added Subban and Weber, seems like SOG and PPP's are the two places I'll make up the most room, after this deal) W's - 10.5 GAA - 12 SV% - 12 SO - 9.5 Likely going to lose a little ground in GAA and SV%, and possibly SO, but not more than a few points, given the cushion I have with all Henrik's starts and Lehtonen's solid play, thus far. Thoughts?

risky trade. leaving your G weak but Kovy is an excellent add. hopefully you won't lose too much ground in your goalie cats.

Believe it or not, league members are actually trying to get it vetoed.

Tell your league members that a trade can only be vetoed if there is collusion or if there is no value exchanged. Deal is not even close to veto worthy.

Cheers for the feedback SPOILER and klaw.....be interested in hearing a few other people's thoughts on the deal itself (and how it might impact my title chances) as well as people's thoughts on people trying to have the deal "vetoed". (currently only 3 managers have voted in favour of the veto)
Cheers.

I think you had enough fire power with your skaters in a 13 team league that you likely did not need to make this move, especially since it weakens you goalie situation a lot. Lundy is killing it across the board for stats.
As for the veto, it is pure crap if anyone tries to veto this - big talent moving both ways. Suspect jealousy from a couple of guys who don't like losing.

You don't mention if you have daily or weekly changes, but as most roto leagues have daily changes, I'll assume that's the case. If so, wins and shutout totals per team will be very high, and I'd imagine your ranking in these categories will plummet quickly unless Giguere starts getting much more play and plays well. I feel that Backstrom's more of a known quantity and that you should expect him to continue near his current pace. Does your league have minimum starts? If so, you'll likely lose GAA and save % roto points as well. However if not, you might be able to play relatively few games and choose matchups to keep these two cats solid. Even so, that's at least two categories that currently give you 20 roto points on the line. Depending on the distribution of the 13 teams in these cats, how likely is it that you drop to 16 points? to 12 Points? Given the information you provided about the 5 offensive cats, it's certainly possible that you could make up 6-8 points there, but how much more probable is it than before the trade? Winning takes a bit of luck, and your new roster could perform really well and give you a boost. But your old roster might have done the same, as you had pretty good firepower (as noted above). Another factor I haven't seen discussed is that the Rangers have a very favorable schedule for the remaining weeks, and those extra starts would have been even more chances for wins and shutouts. You've left yourself in a spot where a bit of luck can put you over the top, but I agree with the consensus here that the odds of that happening are actually lower now.
