So im currently pursuing a deal involving acquiring Teemu Pulkkinen

He wants a 2nd Round Pick (28th Overall - as it stands) and either Jurco or Toffoli for Pulkkinen. Other pieces might be moving in the deal but I was wondering which you guys think is the better prospect to let go of. Im leaning toward Toffoli just based on DET having a better track record for development of prospects and who knows how Toffoli's game with translate at the pro level.

I really don't like that deal.

Pulkkinen is going to get hurt, that might be the time to trade for him and get the asking price lower. Also, he's going to take years before he plays in the NHL. Are you that patient?

Actually, Jurco, Pulks, and Toffoil could all be years away.

I might trade one of the straight up for Pulkks, but if you have to move a 2nd rounder as well, it isn't worth it.

Stand pat.

Thats not the official deal. Its just what im working towards. Just wondering where you rank said players and what you think their development paths look like.

The other possible pieces coming my way in this deal would include Adam Clendening and Tom Sestito.

I'd rank 'em:

Toffoli - Closer than people think. LAK is dying for a sniper. Skating is his knock and he'll never be a burner, but he's improved in this area. Him possibly being on Kopi's wing is a scary thought. He could very well be a "Heatley" type of player.

Jurco - Most attractive tools of these three overall. It sucks that he's Det property as it will be quite a while before he arrives. If he was on a team who's cupboards are bare, i'd have to put him ahead of Toffoli.

Pulkkinen - Nice shot, but on the small side. Durability will be a concern. If he does make it, it's going to be a while just as it will with Jurco. When it's all said and done, worse case scenario, he may just be a PP spe******t. I believe Jurco will be the more productive of the two, though.

First of all, I'd rank them as follows.

Pulkkinen
Toffoli
Jurco

Secondly, its a bit risky to give up a second round pick and one of those guys for Pulkinnen and you should really ask for a pick back. If you can acquire Pulkkinen and make the most of say a third round pick, then I'd be all for it.
