What are the chances he'll be a full-time player next year? With our pool (no farm team), unless you're rebuilding, it doesn't make sense to hold on to a lot of young players who aren't playing regularly. I'm trying to figure out if he'll be a mainstay in Montreal. Obviously, a lot depends on the Habs and if they decide to rebuild or not, but I'm curious as to what his chances are.

I'd put the chances at 50/50. On one hand, he has played well in both the AHL and NHL. On the other hand, he has had injuries and is behind a bit in terms of experience. If your league depends strictly on him being in the NHL you should probably look to a safer choice. It really depends on your flexibility to add/drop players once you learn their fate.

Thanks. We don't have adds/drops in my league (until the summer when you drop your non-keepers), so whoever you draft, you keep or trade. That's why, except for a few exceptions, it doesn't make sense to hold on to guys who are two or three years away.

IMO it's too risky. Of course that depends on alternative choices but in leagues like this it's very unappealing to have spots that contribute 5-10 points all season as would be the case if Leblanc spends time in Hamilton.
