If you really think that is his trajectory, then now would be the time to sell him while his name still has some value.

Nino played 6 games with Bridgeport earlier in the season so I'm not sure the Isles are constrained in that regard, but I could be wrong.

I wonder if that was a rehab/conditioning stint. Can anyone confirm?

Yea I think you're correct...that's how they were able to do it.

they were allowed to assign him to b'port for a 2 week conditioning stint as he returned from injury --otherwise , not allowed to be assigned .

if gm's in your leagues(s) are getting cold feet on Nino's potential then its a perfect time to buy low .

stuff him on your farm team (if allowed) .
if not , suck it up and take your lumps while he slowly earns his minutes.

There are countless examples of rookies/young players getting low ice time and poor linemates. However it seems the good ones still find a way to produce 'some' points. If Niederreiter was on pace for 25-30 points, then I would agree that his situation is holding him back. However, he is 'on pace' for 2 points: one point in 28 games so far... although he does have more goals the Gomez. And he is currently minus 16 (i.e. even in limited ice time he manages to hurt the team).

How many star players had this bad of a season to start their careers? Very few, if any I imagine. I think we might have a role player in the making.

I have to say you are very close minded if you think the 20 or so nhl games Nino has played is a big enough sample size to determine his potential

I'd hate to be your kid

Nino's potential was never massive to being with, so I don't know what the issue is here. Let him develop.

so if in 3-4 years he puts up 25 goals , 30 'ish assists , hits everything in sight , agitates ,blocks shots ,puts up decent pims he's worthless ?

he was projected to be a power forward , not a finesse player .

thread should be renamed ''nikita filatov , what ever happened''

Hey,

If you read my previous posts, you'll notice that I'm not down on the guy. I recently traded for him.

I know what he was projected to be, and I don't mind waiting. My comment was more or less towards people who get down on guys at the first sign of trouble.
