I couldn't agree more. I found the entire series to be filled with moments of brilliance, but also found all of the seasons VERY disconnected with each other. They did have some amazing characters... Snoop, Stringer, Omar and maybe my favourite character in the series, Bubbles. McNulty and Bunk were awesome as lead characters.

Personally, if you like police dramas, I prefered The Shield. Vic Mackey will probably go down as one of the best lead characters of all time for me. Words don't do justice to describe him. He was complex, and I loved and hated him at the same time. If you haven't seen it, and you are into that kind of show, do yourself a favor and watch it; you won't regret it.

I cant disagree with you because Ive only seen season 1 and anything else I know is through what Ive read, but doesn't each season deal with a different facet of the Baltimore crime district? So the lack of connection should kind of be expected.....

Again...Ive read up a bit on the outline of the seasons.

Oh there is no doubt that I expected it, but just because I expected it, still doesn't mean that I should excuse it. I don't know about others, but had they kept it as one big epic storyline without finding the need to jump around from season to season, it could have been much better for me. That being said, we are still talking about a pretty awesome series; one that probably hits the bottem end of my "Top 10 series of all time" list. It is the one complaint that I have about an otherwise amazing series; I just think it could have been better :-)
