bless that kid for doing us all a solid and settling on just one name.

i'm a little worried that Edmonton may have bungled this one. playing him last year looks like it may have been a mistake.

Paajarvi may end up closer to a Milan Michalek or Manny Malhotra than many of us thought (myself especially). which one depends on if he can find his scoring touch and confidence at the NHL level.

i am still bullish on him. the issue is that barring injury the first line is cemented. We were drooling over a very solid prospect playing with hall or eberle. the issue is that they now skate together with hopkins. He will still be one of the better 2nd liners out there.

My roomate gave me the disc set of the ten best Oilers game a while back and I watched the one where Gretzky got 50 in 39. Kurri was on the 3rd line at this time and looked a lot like MP. He looked a little lost and didnt have much confidence with the puck. I think MP will be just fine. To me he has looked a lot better since his conditioning stunt with OKC. I think he will be a dynamic 2nd line player in the future. It might not come as fast as some hoped but it will happen. Just give the kid some time. He is still only 20
