In a 14 team league...

After having moved Elliot FOR Halak+first round pick essentially... to an unsuspecting owner. The own has recently realized his folley of giving up on halak. instead of running with his Smith/Backstrom/Halak combo... I kicked the tires on trading him my Varlamov (of Halak/Howard/Schneider/Varlamov combo). He suggested moving Varlamov for Elliot straight up.

Since i don't often play Varly (spot starts on favourable matchups during hot stretches)... it seems like not a terrible choice. I don't think anyone else wants varlamov. Then again, I can wait for someone to have an injured goalie and try to make the best of it. Then again... that is IF that happens.

What do people forsee of Elliot the remainder of the season? What of Varlamov? Who do YOU prefer ? League/Team:

Varlamov for sure, Elliott won't hold back Halak much longer and eventually Halak will get the vast majority of starts for the Blues. Sure, Giguere is a solid guy but he's mostly there to mentor Varlamov and be a leader for the Avalanche. The Avs are a pretty good young team and Varlamov doesn't have much competition.
