A lot of favourable match-ups for goalie studs tonight.
Rinne, Thomas/Rask and Halak are my must-starts: -Rinne and Thomas for obvious match-up reasons -Halak because he's the hottest goalie on the planet (hasn't lost in regulation in 11 games) Other match-ups: -DET has been playing well, but I like Miller over Howard... Miller's last couple of games have been very solid ever since his ominous comments following the leaf loss, he may be regaining his mojo -I like Varlamov over PHX for no other reason than a simple hunch

Starting Goalie updates:
NSH @ NYI - Rinne (C) vs Poulin (C) This is Rinne's first game this season against NYI. However, he has a 1-0-1 record against NYI with 1.44 GAA, .945 sv% and one shutout. Also, the Preds have been playing really well recently, winning 4 in a row. No reason not to think why it won't continue against NYI. Rinne has been hot, ride it. COL @ PHX - Varlamov (C) vs Smith (C) I really like Colorado better as a team and Phoenix has had trouble scoring in the past few games, other than the 5-1 win over NYI. However, I think Phoenix gets the win here because of Smith. He has posted sv% of .964, .969, .969 and .952 over the past 4 games, 3 of them being away games against really tough opponents (LA, DET and NYR). This season playing @COL he posted a .975 sv% and is 4-1-0 against COL in his career with a .945 sv%. Even if Smith doesn't get a win, history shows that you should at least be looking at decent sv% for this game. BOS @ FLA - Rask vs Clemmensen (C) Have to go with the obvious Boston goalie. Rask or Thomas, they are both top tenders playing a struggling FLA. BUF @ DET - Miller (C) vs Howard (C) Howard for the Win. This season against BUF, Howard saved 27 of 28 for a .964 sv% and the win. In his career, he is 2-0-0 with a .942 sv%. DET is 17-2-1 at home. That's a pretty good home record. Miller is 2-5-2 against DET with a 3.30 GAA and .902 sv%. DAL @ STL - Lehtonen (C) vs Halak (C) Lehtonen is 7-1-0, has a 1.73 GAA and .944 sv% against StL. Halak is 1-4-0, with a 3.04 GAA against DAL. Last game Halak played DAL he won but with a .870 save percentage. Lehtonen also won his last outing against StL. with .947 sv%. History is for DAL but StL. has been playing really well of late. They are 18-3-3 at home and DAL is 11-10-0 away. Halak has been hot and my bet is on Halak to get the win at home with a decent but not amazing sv%. WPG @ OTT - Mason (C) vs Anderson (C) Anderson has won 8 of his last 9 and the only loss being an OTL. During that span, apart from one game, he has posted sv% of .923 or better and one shut out. WPG has lost 3 in a row, OTT has won 4 in a row. OTT is 14-8-1 at home, WPG is 6-11-4 away. My bet is on OTT for the win with Anderson posting a pretty good sv%.

Update: everyone is confirmed except for Rask.
Update 2: Rinne is currently pitching a SHUTOUT halfway through the 2nd period... sorry, had to throw that jinx in there since I'm going H2H with him this week

Hahaha, yesss thank you! I hope the jinx works. Although so far it doesn't look good. Islanders failed to score on a minute+ 5 on 3 PP. Rinne has looked very sharp.

I'd roll with Halak - hottest goalie on the planet, playing for the best home team in the league.
