I suspect Neuvirth will once again force the caps into a timeshare and Holtby won't be the undisputed number one netminder and saviour like some people hoped he would be.

I totally agree. I am a little surprised that the Caps went with Holtby again tonight. Holtby made some great save but let some really simple pucks go past him. Putting Neuvirth in will be a good change for the rest of the team and having goalies playing against each other for the number one spot, if such a thing exists for the Caps can't be a bad thing.

Holtby is not hot right now, so it needs to be Neuvirth's time to try to turn things around.

I thought AO had jump again tonight. He looks interested and engaged to play and those are good signs even if the results aren't there. He also seems more inclined to distribute the puck to his teammates which should help once he learns how to pass and his linemates relearn how to shoot.

What is this the 3rd coach in less than 3 years? They're learning a new system without having had much of a training camp and many of the players still out of game shape. This lack of cohesion is showing all over the league, but especially in WAS. The D are jumping up into the play, but not everyone is on the same page to adapt in coverage when this happens. Carlson leapt up a few times and nobody covered. The F are still a tad lost in their own zone. Ribeiro was more interested in jawing with the refs than competing. This team desperately needs some competative leadership in the dressing room and on the bench [when is Laich back].

i've been saying it for how long now. holtby is not as good as everyone thinks. he's gonna lose the job to neuvirth or the caps will find another starter.
