- Carlson
- Shattenkirk - Elliott - Ekman-Larsson I'm trying to build a package for Duchene, and his owner needs/wants a young d-men. I don't want to give the one that will become a stud compared to a good 40 points 2-way d-man. I own the first 3 and Ekman-Larsson is available on the waiver, so I could pick him up to quickly replace my empty spot on D. Cheers for the input!

I would basically keep them in the order you have them.
Carlson Shattenkirk and then Elliott OEL OEL has a year on Elliott. I've heard good things on both. Probably a bit early to tell either way. I like Elliott's team a bit better. However Pho will likely move soon anyway so much could change there. Statistically I like Elliott, but everyone seems to like how OEL plays. I call it a toss up.

Elliott Shattenkirk OEL Probably slide OEL above Shatty and almost on par with Elliott in a long-term view (3+ years) |

If you're trying to grab Duchene, I'd gladly move Shattenkirk, Elliott, and OEL for him.
Little less likely to move Carlson..think he's poised to take over from an always-injured Green, and Wideman is a free-agent after this year. Carlson will be a stud. |

Carlson + Fleischmann + 1st rounder 2012 vs Duchene + whatever d-man + 2nd rounder 2012 The Flash is not a projected keeper on my roster as of now, but Carlson definetely is... Is that too much to offer? In fact, considering that the Flash is bait in this trade, the bigger question is what has more value in a keeper league, a stud defenseman or an 80+ upside forward.

OEL/Carlson
then: Elliot/Shattenkirk I dunno about fantasy points upside but this is how I view them in terms of who the best dman is. OEL has been the best all-round out of them all this season (meaning the best defensively and good offensively). |
