I think I know what you're running into:

If like me, you use the "remember me" function to store your id/password in your browser, then when you get to that purcahse page (where your seeing that "login to purchase" message in grey), ...just re-enter your login info again on the left of the page, and after you hit enter, the page will refresh, and the "login to purchase" message will be replaced by a "buy" button.

Basically, even though you're already logged into the site, you have to login again within the store.

Hope that makes sense!

(...if not, I reccomend Reese's peanut butter cups as a sound "all purpose" candy choice.)
