Everytime I land a hit with it it will use one charge so you need to recharge them periodically. Enchanted weapons can only be recharged with soul gems...to do so, just go into your inventory, select the item and you'll see the option to 'charge' it, then just pick a soul gem to use and it will fill it up. I tend to use the weak gems (petty, common, etc) for my weapons since its easy to acquire them and easy to fill them. If your weapon is out of charges it will tell you with every hit.
You are single handedly redefining my Skyrim experience. This is so much easier than going on some gaming forum where I'll get called a noob 18 times before someone answers.

hahaha no problem dude, I've played it a lot! (I'm on a 3 day hiatus now because I actually burnt myself out!) I'm level 56 or so I think I have a decent handle on most of the basic mechanics now, but don't feel like a noob because its massively detailed and featured such that it takes quite a bit of time to figure out all the little nuances and how to do what you want with your character (basically everyone is a noob early on, even if they're too cool to admit it

what kind of character are you trying to craft? I might be able to give you some tips on some things if you are building a similar character in some way

I dont even know at this point. Not a lot of magic thus far, most sneak, lockpick and fighting skills. Probably not a very good combination, I know....but that's where Im at.

Honestly, all I've spent my money on so far is training, potions and smithing mats. I've gotten my heavy armor up to 50 and my smithing to 50 by level 18, so that I can legitimately punch enemies to death with the "add armor value to H2H damage" feat. I just killed a mammoth and a dragon with my right hand and my shield.

Punching all my enemies to death has been incredibly rewarding and I recommend it to anyone who thinks it's an awesome idea

First off, you guys are nerds to the point of making Leroooooy Jenkins proud.

Secondly, what the hell is this game and is there any reason I shouldn't be playing it??

I've been playing the Starhawk beta and it's pretty good but I wonder if that's because I loved Warhawk so much that I have rose-colored glasses for it.

haha, yeah its pretty awesome, definitely one of the best RPGs I've seen in quite awhile. There are a bunch of little nitpicky things they could have tightened up on it before launch but they're so minor when compared to how vast and detailed the world and gameplay is that you just don't care. They really did a nice job with it, borrowed some good ideas from the great RPGs before it

yeah its definitely hopelessly nerdy but its a lot of fun, goto a game store and play it for awhile and you'll see what I mean

Just finished the main quest line and am officially out of legit ideas. I could just make my character a beast and finish all the quest lines. Done those I was interested in though - Thieves Guild (didn't have them a revival yet... we'll see), Dark Brotherhood and the main one.

Might start that civil war and get myself all them houses... We'll see. For now, I think I'll take a breather. 40 hours logged in a week and a half. Haven't poured that much in a game in a while. Not enjoyed that much for that long. A damn great game, and one of the best ones I have ever played up until now (and adventure games/western RPG's aren't my forte - JRPG's and Strategy games are).

I highly suggest mods, some of them make it so much better! ...Assuming you are playing on PC. Console users are SOL hahah

http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3863 fixes the menus, which was one of the main problems I had with it when I first started. Clicking something to try to change menus was really annoying if you missed, because the game would just go "oh you must've wanted to go back to the world because you tried to click misc and missed by a pixel"

My legit favourite thing to do is play on my cat, the only thing I'm using is bare hands and armour, no shield or magic or anything hahahaha you ever tried to kill giants by punching them? It's hella hard
