Default Quick trade advice - Eberle for H. Sedin

Quick background - I am in 3rd place and making a good push for 1st. There is a good chance I win it this year.

I have been offered H. Sedin for Eberle (plus a pick) by the last place team in the league.

Getting Henrik slightly increases my odds of winning this year, but I just don't know how high Eberle can go - he's only 4 points back of Henrik at this moment.

What are your thoughts? I would like to stay competitive for at least a couple of years.

Limit 2 FA signings except to facilitate trades. Points count from time of trade or FA signing. Roster freeze is NHL trade deadline. 10 keepers at end of year.

Underlined means they're on my scoring roster.
Forwards: Malkin, Eberle, Datsyuk, Ovechkin, Stepan, Jokinen, Bouchard, Kostitsyn, Berglund, Kulemin, Wellwood, Ennis.
Defence: Karlsson, Shattenkirk, Kronwall, McBain, Zidlicky, Potter
Goal: Rinne, Anderson.

I would do it if you're pushing for first. Eberle is tough to move but for a guy who is a lock for 90+, and should be good for it for another few years, I would pull the trigger. I love eberle but sacrifice has to be made to win.

Henrik has cleared 100 points before. And will likely hover around the 90+ mark for the next several seasons.

I'm one of the biggest Eberle fans out there but I'm willing to bet he never clears 100 in his career.

I would cringe when hitting accept, but I would do it. Henrik is worth the risk.

If you think this puts you over the edge than yes. Also this is about as cheap as you could possibly get H. Sedin. Most owners would be looking for 2 ppg guys in my opinion so its not an overpayment.

This is a no brainer, and a very fortunate opportunistic situation for you.

The guy is rebuilding and stocking up on youngsters and he's offered up a pretty ridiculous trade in my view... take full advantage.

Here's my concern - right now, Eberle is scoring at 1.08 PPG, Henrik is scoring at 1.15 PPG.

Over the course of a season that could translate into 89 points for Eberle and 94 points for Henrik.

Eberle is only in his second season. He's number 8 in the scoring race and is only 4 points back of Henrik.

Are the 4 or 5 additional points I might get out of Henrik this year worth the price?

I will castrate my left nut if Eberle finishes with 89 points.

On the other hand, Henrik may very well hit 100 this season.

I dont think Eberle will outscore Sedin this year or any of the next three so I wouldnt worry and yes 5 pts can make the difference between winngin and coming in third. Last year in my pts only keeper the top 3 teams were separated by 7 points at the end of the year
