I am still in contention, about the middle of the pack but have had some good weeks and am moving up, all the guys you mentioned are all ready owned by other teams and some of the top players on my ww are: Maxim Lapierre, Ben Eager and Arron Asham

i'd say its safe to cut bait. chances are nobody wil pick him up. after a while guys will forget about the fact that he's out there on the WW and if the need arises, like a cold sweat in the middle of the night, you can go back and get him...and if Maxim Lapierre, Ben Eager and Arron Asham are the best that are left, then it really costs you nothing.

You can't simply drop him in a league as deep as yours. Either hold him or move him for something but the WW options that you mentioned sound very similar to one of my leagues and Filly still holds some value.

Would you guys drop Filatov to pickup Tedenby in a keeper league at this point? Really starting to lose patience with him, traded Enstrom for him when i heard he got traded to Ottawa, what a waste.

Enstrom for Filly....ouch! That was a really bad trade and I'm not just saying that in hindsight.

I would absolutely drop Filly for Tedenby for the simple reason that neither kid has shown much at the NHL level but one is actually there and one has packed his bags. Easy choice.

I've been preaching for over a year to just walk away from Filatov...stick a fork in him...he's done.

Tedenby and any other prospect that is nearing a top six role is a better gamble at this point.

I feel your pain! Got Filatov as part of a package for young guys for some vets. After his leaving to the KHL, offered him around for a late pick , not even a sniff, just lots of laughs. Had to drop him, as I am in contention and this weekend was our waiver draft to pick up Wisniewski who someone else dropped during the draft. I guess I'll just keep my eye, and be weary of any young Russians drafted by Columbus. Oh oh sound scary for any other young Russian coming up?LOL.
Good Luck all with him still on your rosters.
