Default What is Crosby worth, Rep given

I know I know, Crosby is hurt and will probably not come back this year. but I'm still interested in him. I've made an offer, (Henrique, Green - Crosby) that was countered with Neal, Green - Crosby, Prospal.

So my question is what is he worth? Should I even bother? Of course if he comes back anything would be worth Crosby but lets be realistic here.

The Crosby owner has 3 guys, Skinner, Smith and Crosby on IR and it's not helping him out.

Would appreciate advice, rep will be given. My team is below. Who should I offer for Crosby?

Personally, i own him and haven't tried moving him. I see others trying to trade him for guys like OV, Malkin, Giroux and Stamkos, but the owners of those players aren't biting. More than likely, a Crosby owner is waiting and hoping that he returns with some serious doubt about his health. I don't blaim the owners of the other guys. I couldn't see me moving him for a 60pt guy. Perhaps sending a guy like Seguin, Duchene or Benn with some picks. Anything less than the second tier players is not worth it. A healthy Crosby owner would command a ransom. I can't see how he could command the SAME type of haul. Imo, packages for him now would involve plyers of a lesser ilk - the Benns, Seguins and Skinners, etc. of the world.

At worst, a handful of elite prospects should be offered - either way, it wouldn't be a 1 for 1. You're still looking at several bodies, enough to rebuild is the price, it's just at a lesser degree than a healthy Crosby.

I wouldnt try for Crosby, unless you've given up for this year.

I don't mind trading Neal and green for Crosby.

That seems like a pretty good price to me

Before they announced his re-occurrence of concussion symptoms, I bought him for a Versteeg. A fair gambe, even now.

In a 1-year league I would not be offering very much for him, even less in a Roto format where all points are created equal, if you have IR spots than a little more.

We're on the cusp of the All-Star Break and Crosby's status is less certain than it was at the start of the season. He's played 8 games and looked brilliant but I have the over-under on him playing 21 more games this year so anywhere from 40-45 points. Sure he has a massive upside of 80 more pts if he gets cleared but he has an equally massive downside of 0, especially considering IF he gets healthy the Pens will likely want him healthy for the Playoffs.

So in Roto I wouldn't offer much, if you have an IR spot then you can count Crosby's spot as about a point per game player in my opinion, hope he comes back and lights it up. Also if you're near the bottom and need to make a big push maybe take a shot.

Sorry I didn't directly answer your quesetion. I think Neal AND Green is waay too much. No way I give Neal straight up for Crosby he's settled in very nicely in Pittsburgh and is a stud. I haven't been following Green's injury it seems like Green for Crosby would be a decently fair trade.

The Versteeg for Crosby price is as high as I'd pay and that's only because I think Versteeg's play will slow down going forward.
