Nah, just the one.

Caught me by surprise TBH. When I cracked the can, the smell of pine hit me right away. I was intrigued to say the least.

Took a sip and immediate thought was that it was probably the most bitter beer I've tasted. Took a few more sips and the more I drank the more I detected almost a sweet fruitiness, and from there it grew on me.

Don't feel right judging it on one beer as it really took me by surprise, but initial impression was that it was good, but didn't love it (however, it grew considerably better the more I sipped at it, so like I said will have to give it another go one night). I like IPA's but admittedly haven't tried too many and I found this one to be quite a bit more bitter than I'm used to.

I can see that. I've had beers upwards of 12% and this one certainly feels it's 9% and then some.

Ya those Unibroue beers are great. Blanche de Chambly, in my opinion, is actually better than its unfiltered brethren like Hoegaarden.

So has anyone in Toronto or surrounding area tried that "Barking Squirrel" brewed in brampton by "HopCity" I mentioned earlier in the thread? Ive introduced a couple of friends to it and all but one love it. Just wondering what others think of it as it seems to be flying off the LCBO shelves in my area lately. Its somewhere between an IPA and an amber lager, but very tasty and not too heavy at all.

I'm curious about that Pilsner, it's on the list....hell everything Blvd brews is on my list...just haven't gotten around to that one yet. I've tried their Single Wide and Double Wide IPA and found them both to be very good.

Enjoy those small bits of Midwestern goodness my friend.

So cracked another red racer, time for round 2.

I don't know what was up with my taste buds last night but I'm really digging it tonight.

I enjoyed them both. Single IPA was good, just not great. Pilsner was very drinkable. I'm just glad I got to try them.

I'm onto a Union Jack IPA tonight...one of my favourites from Firestone Walker:
