I'd recommend the next book be on beers of Europe. I'm partial to a discussion of the evolution and genetics of yeast as it relates to the split of ales and lagers in the spread of monasteries, but any beer topic would probably do. Then your research will not only allow, but require, a trip around Europe for beer drinking. That was my idea for my genetics research, at least.

I thought about doing that once, but for East Coast. And focusing on the best spots to go drink a beer. Who had the best selections, people, and locations. So I'd love to do something like that. Maybe I could do that as a side project if my name becomes a brand.

Is it wrong that I'm totally in the mood for a beer at 9:30 in the morning?

Or for the self-help shelf: Why you shouldn't feel guilty about having a beer at 9:30 am.

I'm jumping in here blindly so I'm not sure if this beers been named yet, but its my absolute favourtie; Innis & Gunn. A Scottish beer, pale, aged in oak and it is damn good lol.

My local beer shop just hit the refresh button. Picked up some Lagunitas IPA, Hop Stoopid, and some more Sumpin' Sumpin'. Also picked up some horrible IPA from Las Vegas (what was I thinking? ). It was called Tenaya Creek Monsoon IPA....drain pour last night.

Hockey day in Canada here today...starts in an hour and runs through the next 12 hrs or so...beauty.

What's everyone else drinking this morning? Today? Tonight?

Interesting reading on BA about these guys. Thanks to looking up their beer I just happened to find a whole style of beer I didn't know existed, Chile beer. I was looking at the Lagunitas brews listed on BA and seen one called Habanero IPA. YES!!!

Two of my favorite things on earth, beer and chile peppers, all in one package. Never having tried any Chile beers I may change my mind after trying one, but for now it's on the to do list. It seems like a good fit since I use pepper on all my meals and I have a beer with dinner most nights. I use this stuff or cayenne pepper the same way sane people use regular old fashioned black pepper.

The drinks menu is just clearing out the fridge so I can make another run next Friday and restock in time for vacation the week after. Lots of Bully Porter, Dead Guy Ale, and Claymore Scotch Ale today.
