Well the 3 Big Eyes didn't make it past dinner. I drank them while cooking it. Pretty tipsy at the moment. Should be an interesting night. I'm off to bottle the beer now. I'll drink the two Sculpins while I attend to this horrible chore....

CHEERS TO ALL!

I had a nice goblet of Gulden Draak Tripel I think. Good stuff, really relaxed me and I'm trying to finish Skyfall, but getting sleepy here.

Hmm, 3 Big Eye's on board, posting at 2am before firing up the bottling line....remember, beer in the bottle first, THEN put the cap on.

Hey Boys,

Anyone out there tried this:

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/23200/78377

I have a bomber ready to go....but I've got to be honest...I'm frightened of the 11.25% ABV. They call it a triple IPA. Many of the reviews compare it to Pliny the Younger.

I really want to give it a go, but nobody else I'm with likes heavy hops. Why? do I just know I'll be conquering this bad boy solo?

I've never seen Pliny the Younger, but I've had a few Pliny the Elder. Good luck getting that Younger. If it's supposed to be as good that's interesting.

Well lads, my beer pantry is starting to take shape.

Top left: the last two bottles of my first ever brew. A can of extract and a kilo of DME, mix with water, add yeast. Pretty simple and tastes simple too. Drinkable.

Top middle: 16 bottles of pure shit... hahaha The beer got tainted somehow. I try one every month or so to see if it is getting any better. its not. I'll dump them the first time I need the bottles. Terrible beer, not drinkable.

Top right: Horses' Hoof Irish Red. Last 8 or so bottles. I was disappointed with this one. Carbonation didn't hold well in the beer. Head disappears like it just got married. The taste is ok, I guess. Drinkable, but not fully happy with it.

Bottom right: Hip Check IPA. This beer went crazy cause I used a dry enzyme in it. It fermented all the way to 1.000. It resulted in a beer that is 8.5%, but I was only shooting for 6.0%. Its a bit dry and lacking body. Still a good beer tho. One of the guys from work asked if he could buy some. I told him he could have one for free, but I ain't selling.

Bottom left: My new brew. Slew Foot IPA. I have high hopes. 9 ounces (350)grams of hops went into this beer. 50gs at the start of the boil. 100g at 10 minutes. 100g at flameout, let it sit for 30 minutes. Then 100g for dry hop. It is 5.6% and it will be a hop explosion! Cannot wait to try it.

I have gone through other brews of which the only trace of their existence is in my memory.
