Wish I had been checking this thread recently; I just walked past a display of these an hour ago and decided to pass it up because the description didn't grab me ( and I already had a heavy load for the walk home).

I feel a pleasant tingle of tranquility and anticipation upon returning from the store:

Ommegang Abbey Ale ($6! This is an absolute steal here.)
Ommegang Three Philosophers
Avery The Maharaja
Avery The Reverend (It's ridiculously cold here; I need some quads to warm me up.)
Fin du Monde
Maudite
Bear Republic Red Racer 5 (My wife likes hops.)

I will take some on a trip this weekend to share with my brother, but I have to decide which I am willing to share...

I apologize as the thread creator for not doing as much for this thread lately. Wife is preggo and my time is all gone. I'm definitely having a drink tonight.

That's an impressive list Robbie. I could really do with another bottle of the Abbey Ale. I've been on the lookout for their Bourbon Barrel Aged Abbey but so far no joy. Can you imagine that sublime Dubbel infused with the flavors from those bourbon barrels......get a grip on yourself man.

Getting ready to savor some of Avery's The Czar RIS. After that we'll see, but I do believe I still have a bottle of Racer 5 amongst the singles. Seeing that in Robbie's list has my mouth fairly watering for one.

Mmmm...hadn't heard of this, but, yes, I can imagine that, and my imagination is delicious.

I forgot too, they make a variation of that for Three Philosophers as well. And on a side note, Ommegang just released their first in a series of limited edition beers based on the Game of Thrones TV and book series. It's called Iron Throne and is categorized as a Blonde Ale.

Nice stuff there Robbie! I just got back from the beer store myself. I bought 3 bottles of Ballast Point Big Eye, 2 bottles of Sculpin and a bottle of local beer called Yakima Monster. I know all of these beers so nothing new, but I do know they all deliver quality.

I'll probably drink the 3 Big Eyes tonight when I'm bottling up my latest batch of beer.

I am sure this has been covered many times in here but I am down in Florida and picked up some Dogfish Head 90 minute Imperial IPA. Very nice but a bit too much of a coffee undertone for me (prefer the Red Racer IPA which I can get back home in Toronto).

Anyways, happy drinking!
