2x Maximus and 1x Smash Bomb IPA down. Gotta clear out these IPA's as I don't want them to lose their freshness.

Count yourself lucky you can get your hands on that Smashbomb. We ger almost NO brews from Ontario, and it's highly rated. Let em know how that Hopwired goes down....if it's good, I'll head out tomorrow and pick one up.

I switched up to a Malbec, pizza, and watching Fist Full of Dollars with my twelve week old Siamese kittnen, Samson. Think he's dozing off but he'll learn about Lee Van Cleef (and Primus)

Probably wont try it out until I clear out my Maximus and fractional but well see. Might give it a go tomorrow night.

Hey, if we ever trade I have something to give you via smashbomb!

Wow there is a lot of activity to keep up with in this thread. I'm an avid drinker and haven't heard of half these beers.

NWO - If you are getting a variety of Founders try the Breakfast Stout, that's my favorite. We always have it on tap at work so thats a post-morning shift favorite.

Dyz - Speaking of drinking IPAs when they are fresh, I got into the first of this years fresh hop batch last week. The one I'm having now is better after sitting, so I'm going to let them age a little while. That is totally backwards, but this is my first batch I'm not happy with so if that improves it, I'll wait to share this one with friends.

New beers I tried this week... Schells Fresh Hop Citra Pils. From a local brewery, the name made me think wow this could be my new fav. beer! Total letdown, no sign of fresh hops, just not interesting at all.
Two Brothers Heavy Handed IPA... Nice copper color, crisp, a little bitter and the fresh hops were there but not over the top. Wouldnt go out of my way to have another but gotta try as many fresh hop beers as I can in the fall.

Speaking of IPAs...

Finally got around to cracking open a Bear Republic Racer 5. Damn fine IPA, damn fine.

Not the easiest to come by but and easy drinker for sure. Lighter hop profile and a nice clean finish, similar actually to the local Spinnaker's brew (better I think, but similar style). Definitely not a palate wrecker of hops like the Fat Tug.

Mmmm... beer.

Now a fractional IPA... These just didn't do it for me unfortunately. But it's certainly not painful to drink and I still have a couple left.

When my sister called the first thing I asked after whether that store even had Founders was did they have the Breakfast Stout. Sadly that was a negatory. It's still #1 on my Founders hit list though. Patience in this case will be richly rewarded me thinks. Can't wait to compare it to the Great Divide Espresso Oak Aged Yeti.

Sounds like a great way to pass the night. Personally I'm kicked back riding a sonic wave of APC and nursing a bottle of Union Jack. Certainly with less gusto than this morning's post work meltdown.

Well if you're ever in Minneapolis, have a Breakfast Stout on me.

Dyz - When you say fractional are you talking about that Lagunitas Daytime?
