What's even more surprising is the fact that Dogfish Head is so widely available in NZ, but yet there is a huge swath in the middle of the U.S. where we can't get their beer. They'll ship their beer all the way to the west coast, but not a drop for people in places like Ks, Mo, Ia, Ne.

My home state of Kansas doesn't surprise me as our laws are pretty much set up to discourage brewers/distillers/winemakers from doing business here. Missouri is the real surprise as their laws are far more liberal and I can go over there and finds dozens upon dozens of different brands I can't get here. Up to this point in time I've never seen a single bottle of Dogfish Head anywhere over there.

Oh well, I still have a fair number of good brews available so Dogfish will have to wait for a time when I find myself in their sphere of beerfluence.

No really I feel bad. See we have so much of it here that every Monday we just dump out bottles in the sink just because we can.

The three tier system for beer distribution in America is atrocious. This is prolly a good example of it at work right now. Dogfish Head are starting to take a good piece of the market, so the Big 3 start applying pressure on their distributors not to carry the beer.

Its a f*cked up system.

I tried these in Amsterdam... super strong and delicious! I found them in a windmill on the edge of town. SOOOO GOOD.

lmao....too funny. Now you know damn well I would never dump a beer, much less a Dogfish Head beer down the drain. Not even to get you riled....tempting though it may be.

Tonight will be a Maudite night....and maybe some Thai food. Been awhile since my last Thai outing and I think the Maudite might pair well.

Be glad too! Is that even allowed? We talked about this previously, if I recall.
