Crossed off a few more of those new beers, Tumbler, Bob's 47, and O'Malley's Festival, over the last couple of days.

The Tumbler was just as good as I thought it would be owing to the fact it's from Sierra Nevada. Right up near the top of my list of favorite brown ales. Not quite as good as a Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale and neck-and-neck with He'brew Messiah. Thing I really liked about it was the combo of bittersweet chocolate and a bit of a molasses. Highly recommend this one.

Sticking with the brown ale theme the O'Malley's Festival is one I won't be inviting back into my fridge. I'd probably be a bit kinder then some of the BA reviewers(scores a 2.13), but I've got to say it's a hard brew to stomach. It's got to be downed quickly before it has a chance to warm even slightly. If you do that it's semi-passable, but once it starts warming the flavor goes downhill faster than a run-away freight train.

The Bob's 47 Oktoberfest from Blvd is just another example of why they're one of my absolute favorite craft brewers. Just a crisp clean Marzen. This is one that you can just sit back and drain bottle after bottle and it never gets old. Kinda like liquid potato chips...you can't stop with just one.

I'm stuck on which big bottle to open next, Great Divide's Belgian Style Yeti Imperial Stout or Left Hand's Smoke Jumper Porter.

So am I the only one thinking that the crew from this thread would be well suited to an Ocean's Eleven style heist of a truckload of Pliny?

Revisiting a couple of beers from last weekend, Brother Thelonious and Dark Side Vanilla Porter. Gonna try the Left Hand Smoke Jumper later on. At nearly 9% and coming in bomber size that one is likely to be the night cap.

Man, I wish I could get my hands on some of those great beers from around your area. The Pacific Northwest doesn't get many beers from Wisconsin, Minn. etc

Can't really complain though as I did manage to have a Pliny after a long day of hockey. Followed it up with a Red Racer IPA, so I can't really complain.

Enjoy the w/e boys!
