Never heard of goose island before.. I will have to check it out.. even though I like the belgian pucnh

Funny story, I was kegging my 2X IPA (117 IBU's with 4 oz of dry hop) last night and I went down to my kitchen this morning and it still smelled of hops.. it was wonderful outside of the fact I couldn't drink and had to go to work. Hopefully when I go home the fantastic hop smell will remain.

Also my one dog loves beer (he is kind of a beer snob.. if I give him crappy beer he doesn't drink it), he trained himself more less to get his frisbee when I'm drinking and places it in my lap to pour some beer in. He definitely tried to do that when I was kegging and almost contaminated my batch luckily I stopped him soon enough.

I haven't tried Goose Island's Sofie, but I did have a Honker's Ale a couple of weeks back at Old Chicago. That one was good, nothing that will blow you away, a true session beer. Easy drinking and would be perfect after a long day working out in the heat when all you want is something cold and not too heavy.

Yes, I've also had the Honker's and the IPA - nothing special. No interesting yeast flavors at all, if I remember.

That's a fair assessment. Honker's makes a good alternative to the mainstream Bud, Coors, etc, when your just wanting a cold beer after work or looking for something to just pound down. If your looking for complexity your better off looking elsewhere.
