Tried the 12 last night... wow, what a beer. So complex and at first has this aftertaste that just smacks you in the face. It mellows out once you have a few drinks though and for a 10.2% it's so smooth and drinkable.

Also tried Unibroue Blonde de Chambly... gotta admit, least favorite Unibroue I've tried. Wasn't very impressed.

See I thought the Chambly was good, but I have had no other Unibroue's with which to compare. And I had it following a Kolsch which was really blah. So, my reference point was different than yours.

Man... you have to try Blanche de Chambly, Trois Pistoles, Maudite, La Fin Du Monde, etc. Fantastic beers - and affordable to boot.

Get your hands on a Maudite or Trois Pistoles. La Fin Du Monde is great too and used to be one of my favs, until I discovered these other two.

There's also a third Chambly, Noire de Chambly. Me being a lover of dark beers that little beauty is first up on the list of Chambly's I want to try.

Can I get an amen and a hallelujah?!?!?

AMEN!!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!!

Stand up and testify brother Dyz!!!

While I am agnostic, Unibroue beers do make me rethink my stance about the existence of a higher power. This also happens with beers from Blvd...Great Divide...Deschutes...Odell...Ommegang...the list goes on and on but you get idea.
