That strikes me as a fair assessment of the matter. I might pick up a bottle of the Fat Tug as you sometimes can't be certain of how well a given pub maintains/cleans their lines. I also wanted to grab a Switchback IPA at the same pub, but apparently Lighthouse no longer casks it.

You must be from the Island? Spinnakers and Driftwood etc....

Switchback IPA is also one of my new favourites. Not as much of a palate wrecker with the hops as the Fat Tug.

Yeah, Victoria... I can walk to Spinnakers in about 20min or so.
This town does have an impressive collection of brewpubs given the relatively small population.

Just cracked open a Switchback... mmmmm, definitely more approachable than the Fat Tug. They had the Whistler pineapple express right next to it, so that bottle will no doubt get opened later.

Consider yourself rep'd good sir.

Finally tried Leffe Blond last night. Pretty solid. My buddy doesn't think it's that great, but I thought it was nicely smooth and enjoyed the flavor. No real issues, but wasn't amazed either. I just liked it. lol.

Just sitting here savoring a glass of Blvd's Saison-Brett. Not your everyday kind of Saison. The addition of the Brettanomyces yeast strain gives it a really unique flavor, buttery smooth with a great earthy quality. And it's a sneaky bastard too, you don't notice the 8.5% abv.

Still not 100% on board with the Saison's yet....gotta keep trying them when I get the chance. It's definitely that yeast strain that funks it up for my taste buds. Oh well, I never liked IPA's when I first tried them either, and now their on top of my charts. Enjoy Saturday night fellas!

Have you had a chance to sample this yet? It sounds like it's just coming out and if I recall, you're a big Blvd fan right?

So??? Did you get 'em? My advice is always.....buy 'em if you can find 'em. Sounds like those bad boys are hard to get your hands on, so may as well.....

Good luck!
