This is exactly what I figured was the case. He looked rattled after the hit. Looked like he intended to get up right after, felt woozy and stayed down for a moment to compose himself. That's a concussion.

Why can't they be honest? A flu is a flu and concussion symptoms after a big hit are most likely the results of a concussion. Tell it like it is. Is it because they'd have to keep him out for a full week if they fessed up? He's a star player for them. Sit him for the full week, whether it's a serious concussion or not! Ugh.

Kirk Muller said that Jeff Skinner's undisclosed injury isn't a concussion and even said there's a chance he might play against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.

It would be a bit surprising if Skinner is able to play in the Carolina Hurricanes' next game, but he's obviously a huge part of their offense. Muller said that Skinner will be re-evaluated on Monday.

More on this... I am watching TSN Sportscentre @ 6:15 ET and they just announced that Skinner is out with what they are calling an upper body injury which is presumed to be the case of that hit by Andy Sutton. Right now they are saying he is out indefinitely.
