Would you trade Semin for Zetterberg straight up?

Semin is younger more explosive potential.

Zeterberg is more consistent.

This is a tough call. Zetter for me though just based on stress- lol! With Semin your worried about KHL rumours, healthy scratch nonsense and whether or not hes gonna "show up" from game to game. I agree his upside is probably greater and you cant really fault either choice but Im going with Zetterberg just for my sanitys sake...

If Semin wasn't such a injury and KHL risk, he would be hard to move. Just to make it easier to sleep at night because you know what you get, Zetts is my pick.

Yes I would. Semin may have the higher upside right now, but it's not by a lot and he comes with a ton more drama and risk. Zetterberg would be my choice.

Semin as a possible flight risk is enough for me to trade him for Zetterberg. However, there are other factors. They only have a four year difference in age. If anything, Zetterberg has been a healthier and more durable player, not to mention the more consistent player. With his durability, point totals and lack of flight risk in mind, i'd go Zetterberg.

Straight up in a points only league though I'd rather have Zetterberg.

I'm gonna go Zetts here. Sure, Semin has a new team around him, and maybe thats what he needs, however if he wasn't showing up every night while playing with Ovi and Backstrom, why would he be more inclined to do so playing with the Staals? I'd be willing to take Semin in a one year, but nothing more. I do think he will have a new fire under his ass playing for a new team, but I wouldn't expect any personal bests from him this season.
