Nov 23 Zajac has been cleared by doctors and could begin practicing with the Devils in two weeks, according to the Newark Star-Ledger's Rich Chere.

Recommendation: Zajac has been skating in New Jersey this week and could return to the team within two weeks. There's no word on his official return date, but Christmas has always been the target. Stash Zajac on your roster if you haven't already and if you have room.

Good idea. Prior to this injury, Zajac has been consistent 80ish games played and seems to be a lock for 1st line duty..? 50-60pts w/ upside.

Zajac (achilles) will practice with the Devils this week and the earliest possible date for his return would be Friday's contest against Dallas, the Bergen Record's Tom Gulitti reports.

Recommendation: This is not, in any way, a concrete return date for the injured New Jersey center, but merely the first day this week Zajac could return if he elects. Zajac likely will not play Friday and probably won't take the ice Saturday in Montreal. Zajac will participate in the team's morning skates in Florida on Monday and Tuesday and practice with the team all other days, but a return is more likely December 20 against the Rangers or two days before Christmas against the Capitals.

Yeah I wouldn't put hiM in your lineups this week or next. They said he looked good the other day. Skating hard. Taking a ton of shots but he will need alot of practice and extra time on the ice to get himself ready. No reason to rush him. Like most reports are saying look for a game or 2 before Christmas but if I'm him I might give it until after the new yr. Make sure he's ready as the team will do. But anything earlier than that is a possibility but it's stretching it.
