Now that it looks like he won't be serving any prison time (unless I missed something) I think he'll be drafted somewhere late. 4th round at the earliest would be my guess, although the talent is definitely there for an earlier selection.

Does this not serve as a type of objective verification that Yakupov's age is part of why he's been tearing up juniors? 10 months can make a big difference at that level.

Very interesting timing. Has not yet been determined whether he will spend any time in prison, but I would suggest it is unlikely.

Thought I'd revisit this thread now that we're nearer the end of the season.

I'd say there's a very good chance that I'm going to wind up drafting #7 this off-season. I'm catching the guy ahead of me, but don't think I'll get there. But for arguments sake, I'll say I do.

Who would be your top 8 forwards in the upcoming draft? I'm pretty set at the defensive end I think (Will probably take a project player with a later round pick), so just want to concentrate on the forwards. Now that junior seasons are coming to an end some people's rankings may of changed. I'm aware that what team they go to can change their impact, but I can judge that myself. Just trying to get a concensus.

aaaaand go
