I am in a 12 team perpetual league. The scoring system is:
Players: A goal = 1 point A short-handed goal = 1.50 points Power play goal = 0.70 points An assist = 0.50 points. Each +/- = 0.10 points Each penalty minute = -0.05 points Goalies: A minute played = 0.01 points A shot against = 0.06 points A goal allowed = -0.60 points We are allowed to spend $25 million to keep players from our season ending roster, the rest go back into the draft. I have to choose between LW C RW Havlat 6.00 Sakic 5.75 Hossa 6.00 D Sedin 3.58 Langkow 2.44 Alfredsson 4.67 Wolski 0.98 Brind\'Amour4.00 Svatos 1.05 Brunette 0.80 Sillinger 2.10 O\'Neill 1.50 O\'Sullivan 0.80 Lombardi 0.80 Nolan 1.225 Wellwood 0.80 Backstrom 0.45 Connolly 2.2 D Lidstrom 7.60 Zubov 4.00 Rafalski 4.20 T Kaberle 4.25 Sopel 2.40 Zidlicky 3.20 E Johnson 0.45 G 526 Emery 0.93 I am allowed to keep two prospects for free. My prospects are O\'Sullivan, Backstrom, E Johnson Scoring is also divided by lineup. 1st forward line gets 100% of points 2nd forward line gets 80% of points 3rd line gets 60% of points Top 2 d get 100% of points & next two d get 80% of points. I have a feeling Havlat will be moved to RW for next season.

That is some point system. I\'d have to create a spreadsheet with pivot tables to be able to determine your best course of action.
I would take Sakic, Hossa, Sedin, Alfie, Wolski, Brunette, O\'sullivan, lombardi, Backstrom, Johnson and Emery. I know that\'s a lot of LW but at these prices, how can you not? I don\'t see why you wouldn\'t spend as much of your 25 as possible. If you can get two of backstrom, osully and johnson for free, you should still keep the third one and pay for him. If you wanted to keep Lidstrom who in my mind is overpriced at 7.6, you could drop sakic and downgrade Sedin to Langkow but I wouldn\'t. |

yeah I was going to say Havlat but he seems to get hurt quite a bit and with all the other LW\'s in front of him, and RW\'s if he gets moved, I\'d prefer Sakic even though I don\'t think he has too many great years left. You might want to shop Havlat, Sakic, Lidstrom and some d men out to other GM\'s. If you can get a good young guy like Stastny for cheap, why not give up a guy like Havlat or Sakic who you won\'t be able to keep much longer anyway.

I have shopped Sakic but have found little interest. More interest being shown in Havlat but offers are weak due to his payroll and injury history.
You can find our league site at http://mblava.tripod.com/id17.html I am team 6

If you are letting Havlat go, I\'d strongly consider giving him to the highest bidder. IMO he\'s too risky to keep. If you do keep him and he starts the season healthy, I\'d trade him at that point for some great players that are cheaper.
