Default OEL or McBain

Sorry didn't want to hi-jack the other OEL thread...

it would be for my 6th D spot (start 5)

Currently have Doughty, Green, Kronwall, Hedman, Carlson, and McBain...

What do you guys think? it's in a keeper league

I hear all the hype for McBain, and he looks to have all the tools to be very good, but on Carolina, I just don't know that he stands out. The Hurricanes are stacked with good young D, with Faulk, Murphy, Joslin, and Sanguinetti, to say nothing of the already NHL established D they have in Pitkanen, and Kaberle.

OEL is in a much better situation, not team, but situation. He and Yandle look to be the top PP pair going forward, and they are so good and so young.

The decision is easy for me...OEL, hands down.

I would agree with Puckhead, even though i have both players. Nothing against McBain, but OEL is in for a breakout year with calder considerations. IMO

Is OEL eligible for the Calder? I thought he was not.

correct. he played 48 games last year. love his game. im high on mcbain as well, but as mentioned,i think hes going to get lose. OEL only has Yandle who should help his production.
