If you guys remember, Lundy set up cameras at all the marinas in Miami or something to see if anyone tried to go back to their boat and clean it of all traces of evidence and Dexter deleted the video of him doing just that. So the marina angle was something they did in the past.

It was probably something that her character just overlooked at the time but now she's trying to find a way to clear Doakes' name...especially since the BHB is still 'out there'

hey bondon (or anyone for that matter), do you remember if they actually found Doakes body after the fire?

Yeah I'm pretty sure they found his burned remains along with that drug dude's body all chopped up so that's why they closed the case on Doakes and the BHB.

As for Laguerta, I don't have the last show recorded, so I can't check right now, but can someone verify that Deb's name was on that boat list? I thought I saw it on there.

If so, call me crazy, but it's Deb who has been stonewalling Laguerta on the backroom investigation. It's Deb who dated the ice truck killer, and also old man Lundy - the famed serial killer catcher. Maybe she dated him to get close to him only to avoid her own capture (in Laguerta's mind).

Just throwin theories out there. I just don't think Laguerta has any reason to suspect Dexter right now. She even had the hots for Dexter in season 1.

Have the episode on my laptop and just checked... Deb's name wasn't checked off as being registered for having a boat. The second list she was working on was a list of all the people at Miami Metro and it had checkmarks beside the people who owned one. Deb's name didn't have a checkmark. But you do bring up an interesting angle and it could definitely be the direction that the season is heading.

Also hockeyrulez the name was Hugo Bowerman not Bonerman LOL.

Okay thanks guys. I think season 8 Dexter and Deb will be on the run together. Seems like they are leading up to killing off most of the major cast. Quinn and LaGuerta could potentially die, Bautista seems like he is going to quit and own that restaurant.
