I was totally thinking that same thing. Both have cut their sisters off from getting close to them and both of their dark passengers are father figures in their life.

Well there it is. Gellar is fake. I still think they have a lot to answer for. I guess those answes will come because even Dexter was asking himself questions at the end of the ep. Like did Travis just play Dexter the whole time, or was it his split personality. In other words, did Travis know Gellar was fake and imaginary even when he was acting as if Gellar existed...

Here's what I make of the intern generally, and specifically his possession of the ice truck killer hand. The intern having the ice truck killer hand seems to be somewhat of a big reveal in this episode which makes me believe my theory below all ties together.

I have a feeling the intern is going to play a huge part going forward and into the seventh season. He's gotta be on to Dexter somehow. He seems to have an obsession with Dexter by calling him his hero, legend etc. Seems like he always wants to find out more about him as well. He also gave Dexter a custom search engine therefore allowing him to track Dexter's searches. I believe he even has some access to Dexter's apartment because of his relationship with Jamie. Also in this past episode, he is revealed to have the ice truck killer hand which I think will tie into this. Maybe he is related to Dexter, maybe he knows about his dark passenger, maybe he was a victim somehow? Or maybe I'm over speculating and he's just the representation of a fanboy... meaning if Dexter had fans, the intern would be it (crazy supportive). However, him having the hand makes me think he's something more than a fan. There's gotta be some meaning to it.

I'm curious to see what happens to be with him although I could be overlooking it all. It does strike me as if the intern will be a major player going forward though.

The hand reveal was quite important. I hope, like Atlanta said, that they carry that story into next season. He is an obsessive collector and it could be interesting if we see that turn into something much more dangerous.

Oh and the search engine thing, holy hell, didn't even think that it was being tracked! Dex is making too many mistakes.
