Default Finished prospect draft... how'd i do?

league is 1st one in siggy...

7th - Sean Couturier (PHI)
31st - Rocco Grimaldi (FLA)
45th - Brett Richie (DAL)
62nd - Jordan Binnington (STL)
68th - Nick Shore (LAK)
72nd - Scott Harrington (PIT)

The 1st 2 picks I am pretty happy with... the rest are crap shoots as most prospects @ that level are.

I was all ready to draft Murphy @ 7th but he was taken right before me so I am happy with Couturier.

How'd I do? Another question... is Couturier a LW or C? I assume he'll fit a winger in Philly.

I absolutely love your 1st 2 picks.

SC might be the 2nd best fantasy option long term. He needs to fill out that frame fast though.

Rocco went 31st? Nice steal. He's on a team that needs scoring help and that is what he does. His size is brutal but almost every player said he was the hardest to play against prior to the draft. His religious issues aside (which is a bit hard-core for my liking), he is a nice addition.

Richie was a solid move.

The rest. I honestly have no idea.

PS: Could you post the top 30 for some perspective?

Considering where you ended up drafting, you did well with the guys you took. I like Rocco at that position. Couturier is a natural center but I can see him play wing on PP, he might have dual positioning next season.

I think there will be a lot of dissapointed GM's in your pool......but you my friend should not find yourself among them. Solid draft!

I think that Couturier at 7th is incredible value and Grimaldi at 31st is a great spot to snag him. I've seen him going very high in some drafts and I wouldn't do it but at 31st I wouldn't think twice.

I like it, nice job. Couturier does worry me some....I fully believe in his talent, but his situation in Philly could be a problem. Long term he would have to beat out both Giroux and Schenn for top 6 ice time, and I'm not sure he'll be able to do that. He could always move to wing, but with his two-way game, it just doesn't make a lot of sense to move him from the middle.

I worry he'll be stuck in a Jordan Staal type hole.....top 6 talent, but too valuable as a 3rd liner and not able to pass the centers in front of him. With who was available though, I don't think you could have done any better with the pick.

Grimaldi at 31 is awesome. I got him in my draft but swung high and took him at 16. So to get a potential star at 31 is great. The size is spooky of course but he's just so damn good, and he brings exactly what Florida needs to the table. Imagine a line with him centering and Huberdeau on the wing in a few years.....sick.

Ritchie has plenty of potential, that's another pick I like. I tend to not draft goalies because it's just too much of a crapshoot.....the only goalies I would have even considered in this draft were the Gibson's and Hellberg. But Binnington definitely has the tools to be a good one.

Shore and Harrington are both pretty meh imo. Shore might have some good upside as a 3rd liner but I just don't see him as much of a scorer.

Thanks for the list. You definitely did well. SC looks like the logical choice with your 1st pick.

Rocco was a great pick up at 31.

Any chance you can trade for Zack Philips? Memorial Cup this year and really impressed at the Wild's summer rookie camp.

Shore, Harrington and Binnington were all just crap shoot picks basically.

I did think a few guys went pretty early, was hoping some of them fell much later so I could grab them.

As for Philips, probably won't be able to get him, plus I don't think I need more center prospects but I could throw an offer out.

I actually want to target Hamilton but not sure what I could offer.

Hamilton is the one guy I teetered on for a bit, thinking maybe he was a better choice than Couturier. I think you made the right pick in the end, but if it's possible for you to get Hamilton it's definitely worth a try.
