Recently traded away Myers for Goligoski (keeper league). Dobber has Goligoski's potential this year and in years to come quite high..next Yandle perhaps?. Myers did have a down year last year, and i'm afraid of his minutes in a 'shut down' role vs. point guy. Goligoski with Souray should have a very good year. He logs equal time on ice as Myers but plays on avg. a full 2 mins more on the pwr play per game.

Goligoski will complement my Dmen of Shattenkirk, Fowler and hopefully Rundblad nicely.

That is a lovely quartet of D-men you have there. Five years from now they could all be top 10 guys.

If your league counts PIM, Myers will quite possibly develop into a more well-rounded option than AG, but my hunch is that Goli will outpoint Myers most years. Then again, they were drafted 4 years apart, so Myers has a few years of development ahead before he can be compared fairly against Goligoski.

I wouldn't have made that trade myself. Sure, AG has the power in Dallas, but Myers is a better player in my mind and the Sabres just got better and have a owner who will continue to spend to make sure that continues.

I like the deal. Goligoski is definitely the #1 guy in Dallas and will get tons of PPP.
Myers now will have competition from Ehrhoff for the shooter on PP1 and he has Gragnani up and coming as well.po
I agree the I see Myers as more of a well rounded Dman and put him at 40-45 points where I think Goli should be 50+ for sure.
Goligoski may be more prone to an injury being a lot smaller than Myers, but I still go with him.
