I can keep as many or as few as i like for my prospect team.
Here is what I have. (this is for the top team in my sig)

Forwards only for this question. We can have 6 forwards max on our prospect team.

Danny Kristro
Peter Holland
Emerson Etem
Zac Dalpe

My intitial thoughts are to keep Etem & Dalpe, drop the other two and try to snag some top prospects from the 2011 ED. I'm pretty confident that players like Zibanejad, Couturier, Rattie, Puempel, Jurco, will be available. Or I could also snag Jarnkrock.

Thoughts? Drop all? Drop none?
Also worth noting is that last season I blew up my team, got some good picks and prospects, then traded them to build what you see below.

First of all, sexy crop of young Dmen. Well done there.

As for who to keep out of your current prospects, I like Etem and Dalpe very much, still pulling for Kristo to pan out in 1-2 seasons, but not big on Holland. So, depending on what's available, I would consider keeping Kristo.

That being said, of the players from the 2011 entry draft are still available, I'd more than likely drop Kristo for almost any player in the top 40-50. (depending)

I think you've got the right idea here and should go snagging up someone from the ED to at least replace Holland.

I'd only keep Etem and drop the other three. If you can't upgrade them with the kids from the 2011 Entry Draft, you can likely re-draft them. No one will be falling all over themselves to draft Dalpe, Holland, and Kristo.

For me, Dalpe is the one that jumps out as a keeper, then Holland. Etem is 2-3 yrs away IMO, and I honestly don't know enough on Kristo to comment.

Good plan. Keep Etem and Dalpe, then go after Jarnkrok and players people pay less attention to because they were not in the 2011 draft. I used that strategy for prospect drafts in a whole bunch of leagues and it worked out very well.

I think Dalpe is by far the best prospect on your 4 player list... And is probably a top 30 forward prospect in my opinion.

Of the guys you listed, I'd rank it...

Etem/Holland/Jurco/Jarnkrok/Puempel/Rattie... All very close to me. It would depend on what you're looking for.

I'd probably bump Jurco/Jarnkrok/Rattie down a bit if you can't afford to wait a few years.

I'd bump Jurco/Jarnkrok/Puempel up if you're going for straight upside.

Kristo - Definite drop.

are you kidding? I've said far crazier things than that!

in all honesty, I probably don't give Dalpe enough credit. I should probably be higher on him than I am, but I just have a hard time seeing him with a lot of upside. I could be wrong, though.

In fact, I've gone on record saying that same thing about Etem. I sort of see them as similar, hard-working players with some offensive upside, but who will likely settle into 3rd line roles in the NHL. They are both great NHL prospects, but not really terrific fantasy prospects.

That said, I suggested keeping Etem over Dalpe, even though I see them somewhat similarly, because I guess there is the outside chance that Etem lines up with Getzlaf and Perry someday. I think that is a small chance, and probably unlikely, but because there is still a slight chance, I rank him a bit higher than Dalpe and suggested that the OP keep him.

Yeah I'd say Dalpe and Etem are your best bets. Holland has the potential to be pretty good though not sure if he will reach it.
