My top 6 (not really in order)
Subban, Lidstrom, Edler, Kaberle, Campbell, Markov Don't really like rolling with two Canadiens (same team), especially one with an injury history like Markov, but I honestly think he's the best choice considering the alternatives out there. Subban Lidstrom and Edler don't really need much explaining, considering the alternatives I think Kaberle is worth taking as he could still produce close to 50 points...Campbell I'm looking for a bounceback year now that he's out from beneath Keith and Seabrook, even with Florida's mediocre offense. If you felt like really gambling, you could swap Del Zotto in for one of Campbell or Markov, as right now NY needs somebody to fill that hole on the PP and Del Zotto could fit. |

I'd keep Pitkanen over Kaberle. I think Kaberle could very well end up being this year's version of last year's Gonchar - a once elite defenseman just falling of the face of the earth and seeing his stats plummet. He had 9 points in 24 regular season games with the Bruins and often looked like he was playing with no heart, emotion or effort. He stepped it up in the playoffs, but I think that had a lot to do with earning a contract. Now that he's signed for a few years, my guess is he'll do even worse. I think that Pitkanen outpoints him, possibly by quite a bit.
