Who should I grab?

After a 3 for 2 trade I have an empty roster spot. Â*I'm looking at a few FAs but want some advice on who to grab from this list. Â*Who is BPA for my team in sig?

If you need a centre go for Jarnkrok, if you need a winger go for Kassian, if you need a defenceman go for Murphy and if you need a goalie go for Allen. After looking at your roster I would probably go for Jake Allen.

Lets assume you want to win now a option you should take into consideration is def. C - Jacob Josefson. After injury to Travis Zajac he could very well end up the Nr.1 one center in NJ.

Besides that i completly agree with what dmvincent said.

I agree with this sentiment but I'd take my swing with Murphy. You'll be losing Lidstrom soon and Murphy could slot in there nicely.

I'd also consider Allen as it seems you don't have anything in the goalie pipeline.

I was looking at Josefson especially after the Zajac injury. NJ is thin at center and I've heard he's penciled in as Kovy's future C. But considering I don't really need a player that will produce this season I was looking a little more toward max upside.

A goalie also makes sense since I have none on the bench right now but is Jake Allen really better than Henrik Karlsson? I haven't heard much buzz around Allen, is he really that good? He's a bit buried in STL while Karlsson is already in the show albeit on a bad team - but once Kipper is slumping/injured/traded doesn't he have a clearer path to being a starter?

Kassian looks like he has grown up a lot and is a big winger with upside on team in need of size.

Could Kreider end up on Richards wing next year?

Is Ryan Murphy realistically Ryan Ellis 2.0 meaning he is 2-3 years away?

Jarnkrok also looks great but is a little undersized and as a center is behind Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Fillpula, Tatar, Nyquist. Does anyone know if he plays wing?

Kabanov is also interesting seeing as how NYI is a little shallow on LW it seems. Even though he's still immature it looks like he's coming around and focusing his skills/talent on Hockey now.

Maybe I'm overthinking it but I guess that's why I'm asking for the help

I agree with this one too.

You already have a formidable team, so you have the chance to swing for the fences. To me, this means that Murphy has the best chance to be that home-run that you're looking for. As good as those other players might be, they seem to be Tier-2 type of players, while Murphy could be a top tier D-man. He could end up being one of the best at his position (fantasy-wise, anyway).

In my league Murphy will probably be available until the WJC at least. so I figure I'll grab Josefson now and grab Murphy later once I see how Jacob handles the extra ice time.

Last year I started the year with Parise, Zajac, Kovy and was pretty excited before my season blew up in my face - so needless to say, I'm still a little wary of NJ with ANOTHER new coach. But Josefson still looks good.
