I also track on a per game basis and even with the regular fluctuations there are a lot of teams quite close together. Obviously Barry is looking good so far and will be tough to beat if his players keep producing. Well, I decided to get a trade in and I'm happy with it - will probably help both sides. Was willing to give up a bit of offense from that juggernaut in Florida (can't believe I said that) for a bit more peripheral balance. I'm happy to have Toews' consistency and his strength in FOW, while Steen is a nice, depth option on the wing with decent peripherals. |

Falling a little bit these days as I try to get my games played balanced out a bit. I was way over on all 3 forward positions for a bit and my D is way under but if Weber and OEL can produce for a bit for me, it should help out.
Through 20 games, here are some thoughts on my team, House of 1000 Orpiks: Dropping Stepan for Ryan O'Reilly was decent for a bit and it was a nice surprise that Stepan was still available a couple of games into his hot streak. Glad I was able to switch these guys back again. Mike Richards (52nd), Henrik Sedin (21st), Jamie Benn (76th), Radim Vrbata (237th) and Sheldon Souray (244th) have all out-performed their draft positions. Green and Burrows are the only players I am very disappointed with at the moment. Okposo may be finally turning it around but I wasn't heavily invested in him anyway. Considering I drafted my goalies in rounds 4,9 & 10, I think the fact that they have provided me with 33.5 of a possible 48 points is pretty freaking good. This league is a blast so far guys, thanks for letting me be a part of it. Now send me those lowball offers on Green and Burrows will ya?

anyone want bobby ryan? i just cant figure him out this season. i play him bcuz hes a stud but he rewards me with nothing. then there are days id bench him for a game and of course he'll light it up with 2 goals.
thoughts on Phaneufenstein Since I went goalies early, Rinne and Quick have performed lovely. I remember someone say Ryan was an early pick, guess i gotta agree with u now.... Smyth has been rock solid as he was my 24th rder. I wasnt much of a Smyth fan beforehand, but hey, got lucky. the Winnipeg duo I own have been frustrating to own. Also was hugeeeeee on Stewart, still waiting for fireworks. Weiss an awesome surprise. drafted him mainly for faceoffs with a bit of potential. Burns, my first dman drafted. He's been okay but seems to be overdoing things on the ice. risky business on the defensive end of things but Vlasic got his back, I hope. Hard to tell if my skaters can keep up with my tenders. dont have too many big names to go on Gotta throw this in here.. I've been leading in SV% for 34 days and counting. suckers! Wow Shoeless leading in Saves for 35 days and counting. awesome Last edited by kluu; 11-25-2011 at 07:21 PM. |

That's because he has FIVE goalies.

Actually the correct correlation is to games played at goalie. As far as saves per game played on average - I am a weak 3rd in the league behind Phaneufenstein and Wee Shop.
All it takes is for a goalie to get pulled a time or two and your average takes a hit.

Stuck in second place and have been for weeks. The Lehtonen injury doesn't help either.

Yeah that Lehtonen injury sucks for you - he was playing well for the most part. You certainly have some offensive numbers to envy though - just need to find a way to drag Barry back into the quagmire.

The middle is so clustered. I've pretty much been in 3rd the entire season then randomly fell to 7th one night (when Brodeur let in 3 on 4 shots) and then not even a week later I'm
Back up to 4th. |
