How would you rank these dmen in a Dynasty league? I am competing this season, but I could wait a couple years for results if necessary.
G, A, +/-, PPP, PIM, SOG Orlov Faulk Merrill Larsson Murphy Hamilton Beaulieu thanks in advance for the help |

Larsson looks like the pick of the litter for this year.
Maybe Hamilton after that. Faulk and Murphy may take longer. Orlov impressed right away with Hershey. But if you're picking just one, Larsson is a no-brainer here IMO. |

I think Larsson would probably be the best option in terms of wait and upside.
I also like Orlov but hes somewhat of a wildcard. Murphy and Hamilton might come before Orlov if you are fine with waiting. They seem to be more of a sure things (no KHL risk factor) but they are further away than Orlov.

Oh man is Faulk underrated arround here.
I´d go with: Larsson Murphy/Faulk Hamilton/Orlov/Merrill Beaulieu |

There are lots of good options there...for the immediate future the only one worth considering is Larsson. I also like him most long-term.
After him, I'd probably rank them this way (only considering long-term potential here): Hamilton Murphy Faulk Beaulieu Merrill Orlov

Thanks everyone for the quick responses.
I am selecting late in the first (14th overall), so the likes of Larsson and Murphy will be gone, but I just threw them in there to see how the others stacked up. Most of the others on the list should be available, unless they get taken ahead of a lot of the top forward prospects from the 2011 draft, in which case I would be thrilled to grab one of the forwards. |

14th is late to select some of these guys. I drafted hamilton 9th in our draft and I'd go with him if he us around. He seems to be the guy in Boston in a few seasons. Some talk of him even stepping up this yr and maybe get 2nd ppp time,

I don't really know who all is avaliable for you in your draft... But the only two Dmen there I would take as early as 14th overall would be Larsson and Ryan Murphy.
I kind of see Dougie Hamilton taking a Brent Seabrook progression... Seabrook had an awesome (and underrated) year last year, but it took him until he was 24-25 to really put up decent numbers. Which is really a heck of a long time to wait for a prospect. I guess I'm just an advocate of drafting forwards, and I think there are probably a LOT of forwards avaliable at 14th overall that I would take over all those Dmen (except Larsson and Murphy).
