Huberdeau for me. upside upside upside. And he flat out plays and plays. He'll fill enough of your cats down the road to make him worth it. Probably has an easier opportunity in FLA too since they have NO great forwards in the pipe......

Huberdeau for me. Mainly for same reasons previously mentioned. Huberdeau was drafted with the potential of being the go to guy. Strome was drafted to support Tavares. Also I like that Huberdeau has played both wing and center in junior.

Pretty unknowledgeable assertion imo... Bjugstad, Howden, McFarland, Grimaldi are all better than decent forwards. Matthias and Repik could prove something yet as well. Give me Strome.

Huberdeau without thinking twice. Strome might have a Skinner-like breakout in the next two years, but Huberdeau is the better long term option.

I am changing mine to Hubs then, your going to need help on the wings in the near future...Vanek is awesome if he was not made of glass!! You are pretty good up the middle with Mckegg, Granlund ,Kuznetsov..Tedenby is probably going to replace Franzen soon as well he does not seem to be able to play a full season either!!!

I like Hoober here. Less competition, and the team is going to build around him. Strome, he's got a lot of ground to make up. Plus, I think Hoober is better anyway, but throw in the team situation, you gotta take him.

No offense, but he did say No great forwards. He didn't say, no slightly better than decent forwards.

watched them both, i prefer Strome.
that said, Hubs as a possible winger fits your team better.

Since you have confirmed that you distinguish between C's and LW's then I believe you have to go with Huberdeau. He could even get dual eligibility.

The one comment above about Strome supporting Tavares... the best way a young player can get good immediately is by having chemistry with another talented player. Strome seems like he has far better opportunities at that compared to Huberdeau. And it seems these last few years the OHL has produced all of the CHL forward talent, the Q has had Sid and Giroux the last 6 years? Not to go just solely based on trends, but you can't really ignore that either. If you're looking at points-only, forwards-only with a #2 pick, seems like Landeskog is your sure-bet, Strome is your home-run pick.
