Default Ongoing Dynasty league draft

Hey all, as we are in the midst of the dog days of summer, I thought it might be fun to post the results of an ongoing fantasy hockey dynasty league draft that I am taking part in. This is a new league, and as can be expected there are a lot of different strategies being used by the folks here in the draft. In addition to being an offline draft, you are able to make trades using your active round or 2011/2012 prospect draft picks (the 2011 prospect draft takes place after the active draft). League setup is as follows:

26 man active roster
starts 4C 4RW 4LW 6D 2G 6BN
Scoring is G A +- PIM PPP HITS SOG and W L(negative stat) GAA SV% SO (7-5 skater to goalie split)

Feel free to post your thoughts on potential steals, guys reaching, or surprise players not drafted. I will continue to update the draft as the picks trickle in, if you have any questions shoot them through!

Updated through round 10. Defence looks like its starting to get hit hard, and some guys starting to realize that they will need a second goalie, almost all legit starters are long gone.

Interesting.. with 42% goalie categories (even if L is one of them), I'm surprised that not too many teams saw goaltending to be a priority. Two goalies going in the first two rounds total...and Lundqvist slipping to the THIRD round and Crawford being picked shortly after, BEFORE Fleury, Quick, Rinne, etc....

Wow Heatley went before St.Louis.

The important question Laendarian, is which team are you???

Did Team 12 actually name themselves Team 12? Cuz if so that's really funny lol.

wow, Schenn went high eh?

hard to compare as all my drafts he would have been in the prospect draft.

Haha yeah I too was a bit surprised that so many teams were comfortable waiting until later rounds for their goalies! I wasn't one of them, Toronto Marlies is me and I own Luongo/Fleury/Halak

Yeah I noticed a few of the more prospect types were taken early, Schenn though I felt was a bit of a reach at his position.

Updated through round 11.

Pretty big swing between some vets Lidstrom/Visnovsky/Brodeur and some real young guys Markstrom/Johansen, pretty surprised at johansen, seems like a stretch.

Thanks for posting, always like to see how others value players. IMO I thnk Vanek was WAY to early and Benn was a steal that late.

Yeah the guy who grabbed Vanek is a big Buffalo homer (Pegula's Heroes right?)

You sure his name isn't Bomm Bastic? LOL kidding Bomm if you're reading this.

I took a look at your team so far Laendarian and aren't you concerned about your RW's??

G: Luongo, Fleury, Halak

D: Green, Visnovsky

LW: Kovalchuk, Hall, Burrows, Cammalleri

C: Lecavalier, Stastny

RW: Backes

Or is Kovalchuk considered to be a LW/RW?

Either way, nicely done so far IMO. Locking up three elite goalies is huge.

Yeah RW's are on the way, I find there is a real shortage of elite RW's but a lot of depth for good 2nd tier guys, got my eye on a couple of them.
