Default The Hangover Part 3

I'm heading down to Las Vegas in early September with some friends. I also planned to go at this time because my H2H keeper league (The Ultimate Fantasy Pool, thanks for the generic name, Tim) will be doing a live draft at that time.

A few of the fellow poolies live in Vegas, so I think of the 12 in the league we are getting six or seven together in person for the draft. Should be a lot of fun.

The rules:

- minimum of one Labatts per round (not my beer of choice, but I stick to the rules)

I'll have a few preview columns to pump up the draft - should make for some fun reading.

Haha that sounds awesome, looking forward to reading it.

That's an awesome idea to all go to Vegas for a live draft.

PS: lol, the Ultimate Fantasy Pool.

if i went to vegas, hockey would be the last thing on my mind...not getting roofies slipped in my drink/marshmellos would be my main priority.

Geez, live fantasy hockey draft, beers, gambling, throw in some golf and some extracurriculars and that is just about a perfect weekend!

Have fun Angus!

That golf course looks ridiculous. Will try to squeeze a round in. Staying at the Mirage, good location, I'm sure some extracurriculars will be in order.

being in vegas would put me in the wrong frame of mind to make a good selection in a fantasy draft let alone make it to the draft. wow.
have fun.

Angus, my bad, I completely forgot that they closed The Falls (as well as Reflection Bay) a couple of years ago due to the bankruptcy of the Lake Las Vegas complex. Sadly that gorgeous course is no longer open.

Lots of other options in the area though. If I were you, I'd make the drive out to Mesquite and play Wolf Creek, stupendous (http://www.golfwolfcreek.com/sites/c...863&page=48604). And other fantastic options are any of the three courses at Paiute (Sun Mountain is most playable and great).

i look forward them.

The draft this year should be a lot of fun. I know with you that will be 6 (FOI, HH, LVT, Legion, DNES, TCS). If i missed anyone let me know. There is room to crash.

As far as the beer choice, it only feels appropriate doing a draft in sept drinking Canadian beer. I am sure we can institute a BYOB policy since the rule is about having fun at the draft rather than the beer choice.

Thats quite a drive for vacationers to play and there are so many good courses to offer but i agree those are beautiful courses. Just dont do Mesquite in the summer (120 dry heat in canyons). I would probably suggest Aliante Golf course (http://www.aliantegolf.com) Its north of the strip and 20 min from the strip but a beautiful course and shouldnt be too expensive. If you do want to golf i can tell you which courses you should look at.

That goes for all the guys going to the draft. If you want to golf, i can look into it.
