Who is your choice for Rookie of the Year?
If I missed someone, please mention them below. Choose other on the poll. I know I am missing quite a few like Caron, Boedker etc..... |

Went with Dalpe here, I don't see it being a dman, niño and johansen wont get enough ice time IMO, which leaves schenn and a couple others. I think dalpe is the one most likely to succeed this year with his situation

Some players you may want to consider who could crack the lineup or become quite valuable if an early injury strikes:
Holtby (WSH) Adam (BUF) Blum (NSH) Zibanejad (OTT) Markstrom (FLA) Bernier (LAK) - not 100% sure on his eligibility Hodgson (VAN) Kassian (BUF) Smith (DET) Strome (NYI) Coyle (MIN) - huge sleeper Spooner (BOS) Eakin (WSH) Morin (CHI) Hishon (COL) I bolded the ones I have a good feeling about (next year)

Who did you pick? I picked Larsson even though I traded him a while ago. Just a great situation in NJ. Last edited by Princeton; 07-25-2011 at 09:27 PM. |

As for my pick - Other: Jared Cowen. Unlikely due to points, but if Barrett Jackman can win it, he can too!

Wow. I didn't even notice he wasn't on the list. He definitely should be on the list
I do find it weird that Neiderreiter, Schenn and especially Dalpe are getting votes and RNH hasn't received a single vote. Dalpe has a chance but a team hasn't had back-2-back Calder winners since Bobby Orr and Derek Sanderson won it for Boston back in '67 and '68. Only three times in history has a team had back-2-back Calder winners and that's dating back to the Original Six era. Toronto is the only team to have Calder trophy winners three years in a row ('43-45)
