Who do you prefer as a prospect? Who's closer to contributing? Who has the most upside?
Thanks!

Etem has the highest upside. Beach is closer.

For your league counting PIM? Beach. Otherwise Etem

PIM's count as do hits and a whole bunch of offensive cats. Are Beach's peripherals worth Etem's upside? Is there a big (20+pts) difference?

Etem does have a significantly higher upside IMO. But given how much better beach will contribute to peripheral stats and the fact he's closer to making an impact, I'd take him.

Quote:
If he can keep his head on straight and have a decent season in Rockford this year, he might be in the Hawks plans for next season assuming they re-sign him. But by next year, I think Etem could possibly be making a push for a lineup spot with the Ducks. They need what he brings. Etem is my choice here, peripherals or not.

Thanks for your input everyone.
Etem was taken just before my pick, so I took Beach. Here's hoping he turns the attitude around and turns into a ppg/200PIM threat this season.

Looks on Beach have really changed since his draft year. Back then, I was looking at Beach and believed that his attitude problems would fix themselves. I believed that he had the potential of 75 points playing with good linemates, and to be a consistent 60's player with a ton of PIM's. Now when I think about him, it's completely different. Tons of question marks. He can still become a very good fantasy player in a league that has many statistics, but there's now a huge risk in him. I'm pegging him as a 45-50 point player with tons of PIM's still, but like I said before, he brings tons of baggage.
