Making my final pick in our annual keeper draft (league info and team in sig)

Players I'm considering:

Evgeni Dadonov - I guess what stands out about him is that he's closest to an NHL roster of the three players and has shown he can play at the NHL level. I'm not convienced he has the most upside of the three though.

Christian Thomas - I think has the most upside, and fills a need for the Rangers which should improve his chances (scoring). But he's small, and that's always scary.

Tom Kühnhackl - Love that he's in the Penguins system. Could play with Malkin or Crosby someday and as a fantasy option that's gold. His chances look good at actually being an NHLer on day.

When it comes to uncertain mid-level prospects, I think you need to err on the side of the guy that's already proven he can play in the NHL. I like Dadonov here, though Thomas could blow onto the scene.

Your best choice of the 3 is Christian Thomas. If he has half the truculence and tenacity of his father he'll be a fine choice.

Kuhnhackl has the most upside. Dadonov is the least risky. Thomas is a bit inbetween.

I'd probably take Dadonov.

Christian Thomas was a beast this season. When I went to watch him, he was creating opportunities for his linemates and himself. He's got a nose to the net, plays on the edge, and uses his body very nicely. Underrated for now, but not for long. I'd be lookign to take him.

I like Kuhnhackl here. Had a really impressive goal total in the playoffs and like Thomas comes from good bloodlines as well. Plus the possibility of playing with either Malkin or Crosby makes it even more appealing to chose him.

Kuhnhackl is the safest pick here.

Thomas put up the numbers but his size will limit him. I know he doesn't play as small as he is but smaller players have a tendency to fizzle out more than guys the size of Kuhn.

Safest pick is def. Dadonov. Highest upside for Thomas here. Kühnhackl is a decent prospect as well but i consider the other two way better prospects.
