Pavelec was brilliant. What bothered me was the tons of missed calls.

Kane getting slashed, stick breaks in half, no call. Stuart getting a stick to the face, helmet even falls off, no call. Little getting slew footed at center ice, no call. Kane got slashed about 3 other times, no calls.

The Jets played the Flyers soft for the first time in a long time.

They gave them too much room and all day to do what they wanted.

It sucks they couldn't hold the lead for nine more seconds (although I will make an argument that Little was interferred with and it wasn't called like the 25 other missed calls). We lost though, no excuses. It's games like those that will come back to haunt us however.

That extra point was needed.

Division leaders!

The Jets rolled with 7 defensemen in last night's win and could continue to do so even when Bogosian returns.

Antti Miettinen was placed on waivers today.

Jets had no business losing this game today. It was another monster performance by Wheeler and the offense, but the Jets were turned away from Halak- who saved the game and about 10 goals.

I'm curious, how does St. Louis have the record that they have? They looked like bottom dwellers in this one. Simply put, they shouldn't have even been on the same ice surface as the Jets let alone steal the victory.

At the very least, it's good to see they got a point, but it sickens me to not have the second. The game should have been over mid-way through the second.

The Jets have to bust their backs to score goals on Halak, while on the otherhand, the Blues are lobbing pucks on Mason and they go in.

Which has me wondering, why wasn't Pavelec starting? He would have made the saves on both Blues' goals and the Jets would have cruised to victory.

Wheeler had two goals, hit a post, and got stoned 15 or 30 times (realistically, probably about 5 or 6 times).

There's nothing to be ashamed of in this loss because in a 7 game series, the Blues would be going home in 5.

Lucky teams don't prevail in the playoffs.

Byfuglien is on a tear- 5 straight games with multiple points in each. First defensemen to do that this season.

Also, Zach Bogosian is good to go tonight.

I'm hoping Clitsome debuts soon. I think I'd like him much better than Jones.

Clitsome is not dressing tonight. Jones is in.

I think Clitsome has some potential. He showed a lot last season. I haven't really paid close attention to how he looked this season, but he seems like he could be a good bottom fit.

A loss tonight most likely ends our hopes. I'm paying attention to that 8th seed as well, which is probably more likely at this point though don't count us out for the division just yet.

Bogosian is out, after re-aggravating his upper-body injury. His spot will be filled by either Mark Flood or Grant Clitsome.

Brutal timing. The Jets could use his combination of size, strength, speed and skill. They've had to rely on their depth on the back end all season, so here's hoping that that depth continues to serve them well going forward.
